You may find this link useful for navigating "myGK" and signing up for a fresh Microsoft identity
http://metafore2012.blogspot.ca/2016/03/getting-started-in-mygk-and-azure.html

You will need the following resources:
- Courseware delivered through "Skillpipe"
- Lab environment delivered through "Learn on Demand"
- additional lab notes provided on the Global Knowledge portal
- updated powershell scripts

Please note that the Office 365 cloud product is being constantly updated and there may be significant differences between the courseware and the current release.  This course is scheduled for a re-write in May 2016 and will be numbered 20347

For now, the lab instructions are being updated on a regular basis and they are available from the same link as your lab connection.  There is a .pdf from GK and I have modified the Lab instructions for clarity here on my blog.

You may also want to visit the Microsoft Learning site to find the related certification exams:

NOTE:

To save save your Lab work at the end of the day you should click "Exit" (Top right) then "save and close" in LOD.

Instructor notes:

PROVISIONED test O365account

*** introduce online test site

*** consider moving external Domain topic to the end or doing a video/demo
(instead, students would use the default domain for labs)

Day 1

- register DNS
- look up old labs on blog

// site to show the differences .. old and new admin centers
// recent developments > compliance center
// other cloud .. infra, OM, ERP

Lab quirks
// focus on setup .. may not align with job roles and interests
- solution arch
- PM
- Super users
- Admins
- User mgt and security

//DNS info.. some time delays.. may be frustrating
//Hybrid, all-in, transition projects
// Good treatment of Federation
// Alignment with exam(s)
// Cloud is a moving target > some lab instructions may change
// Labs are cumulative

*** demo for yammer etc
*** Azure and AAD

Day 2

Lab 1, Ex 2 > may need chrome
NOTE: each student lab will have its own IP and company name
o365ready.com is like a simulated ISP

199.101.108.11 (webnet)
My lab number is 29075 > 29098 (students may need to update or re-register)
*** how to check existence of lab number = try to change it
MS=ms53736733
See screen shot for "Server Certificates"
- how to copy instructions and paste into VM
Just use notepad to open the file

NOTE: dns takes some time to replicate (e.g. to google DNS)
This is why the lab asks you to configure this early on.
We will return to the DNS config in M3

http://metafore2012.blogspot.ca/2016/04/20346d-module-5-lab.html

mxtoolbox.com
testconnectivity.microsoft.com
*** show this on first day
(succeeds when you verify the domain)
- you may want to have them complete the m3 lab steps for autodiscover
and MX

Note: labs and admin will work with the MS supplied Domain name

Certs > m8 and m13

m2 Lab (user admin)
can save time by running just the bulk user and group imports from PS
NOTE: if your DNS lab is not completed then use the default domain

Ex Hybrid and Federation in M13

GW = 172.16.0.1
WAP1 has 2 nics (12, 199.101.108.11)
DS1 = Dir Sync and FS

*** powershell script to add alias emails

Q - How do I create granular administrative roles in Office 365?
A - granular roles let you control exactly what the delegated admin can and cannot do (instead of accepting the MS tin-canned defaults)
